Spanish wine producer Familia Torres has been named The World’s Most Admired Wine Brand 2024 in the 14th edition of the ranking.

The advisory board of Familia Torres has agreed to begin a generational transition process in which the current chief executive, Miquel Torres Maczassek, will be appointed president of the company.

Familia Torres director general Miguel Torres Maczassek believes that despite ongoing drought, the quality and health of the brand's vines remain “excellent”.

Familia Torres expects to be self-supplying 50% of the energy at its Pacs del Penedès winery by early 2023, due to the renewable energy it will produce at its facilities.

Familia Torres has consolidated its vinicultural project in the Rías Baixas appellation of origin, with the acquisition of a new winery in the province of Pontevedra.

Familia Torres has expanded its range of red Priorat wines with Secret del Priorat 2018 made from Garnacha, Cariñena, Cabernet sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.

Familia Torres and Jackson Family Wines have announced intentions to create a working group of global wineries to reduce CO2 emissions.
